Afghanistan POW Bowe Bergdahl Support Rally
Posted on June 10, 2011

POW/MIAs Danny "Greasy" Belcher, Executive Director
Executive Director, Task Force Omega of KY Inc.
Vietnam Infantry Sgt. 68-69
"D" Troop 7th Sqdn. 1st Air Cav.

It is a GO. I just got off the phone with Ken Lucas, Commissioner- Kentucky Dept. of Veterans Affairs. Gov. Beshear has a prior commitment on June 30th and will not be in Frankfort. Commissioner Lucas is eager to meet with us in place of the governor. Ken Lucas has been a friend for many years. He is a veteran and a former Kentucky Congressman.

We have agreed to meet in Frankfort, KY at the Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial (East-West Connector 676). at 2:00 EST on Thursday June 30. This is the anniversary date of Afghanistan POW Bowe Bergdahl's capture by the Taliban (captured 6-30-09). We are pulling out of Afghanistan soon, so time is running out for POW Bowe Bergdahl from Hailey, Idaho.

The reason we are meeting at the KY Vietnam Veterans Memorial is because there are a lot of similarities (walked off, took off clothes, deserted while drunk, and other lies put out by our rumor makers in the past wars about POW/MIAs) with POW Bergdahl and our Vietnam POWs. This will be a support rally to inform everyone on Bergdahl and the plan we are about to implement to hopefully bring him home alive.

We need everyone to call the TV stations in Lexington,KY - WDKY-56 (859) 268-1234, WKYT-27 (859) 299-0411, WTVQ-36 (859) 299-3636, WLEX-18 (859) 361-1203; newspaper - Lexington Herald Leader, (859) 231-1468 and radio stations. Ask for the news desk and leave the message that there will be a support rally to honor an American soldier that has been held as a POW by the Taliban for two years on June 30th, 2011. We need news coverage and the more calls the better. The Lexington TV, Radio, and Newspapers need a flood of calls asking that they cover this historic event.

Contact information and routes coming to Frankfort to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial:

Greasy (606-845-0435) leaving Mt. Sterling from BP/Days Inn parking lot at 11:45 A.M.

Mark Hawkins (859-339-7687) leaving Clay City from AmVets Post 67 at 11:30 A.M.

Anyone wanting to meet us along the way traveling from the east on I-64, we will be going through Winchester about 12:00 noon and Lexington about 12:15 P.M. Be at a safe area where you can see us coming and pull in with the convoy.

Charley Datillo (502-314-7501) leaving Louisville, KY from Bluegrass Harley Davidson on Blankenbaker Rd. at 11:30 A.M.

EVERYONE with any mode of transportation is welcome and encouraged to go with us or meet us at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Frankfort, KY.

This may be the last effort we have time for to get a live American POW home before he is abandoned to a fate worse than death.
