Letters To Save POW Bowe Bergdahl
Posted on May 03, 2011

Time is running out fast for Afghanistan prisoner of war (POW) Bowe
Bergdahl. Everyone from the president on down has drug their feet on getting
Bergdahl out alive. Now that Ben Laden is dead Bergdahl's life is hanging
by a very thin thread.
We need letters NOW to YOUR two U.S. senators and YOUR congressman (U.S.
representative).
Below is an example you can copy from and send to your senators and
representative in Washington, DC. Do not send emails, form letters, or
petitions. We have been told by friends in Washington, DC that they are
useless and letters either written or typed are what get results.
Please write three letters NOW. Time is running out for Afghanistan POW Bowe
Bergdahl.
Danny "Greasy" Belcher, Executive Director
Executive Director, Task Force Omega of KY Inc.
Vietnam Infantry Sgt. 68-69
"D" Troop 7th Sqdn. 1st Air Cav.
Letter to your U.S. representative
( The Present Date In Center Of Page)
The Honorable ( YOUR REPRESENTATIVE)
United States House of Representatives
Washington, DC 20515
Dear Representative (Last NAME),
( First paragraph should be a thank you for something they do or you like.
( Keep it courteous.)
As you know, the Taliban captured Pfc. Bowe Bergdahl, from Hailey, Idaho,
in Afghanistan on June 30, 2009. A video released on December 8, 2010
shows Taliban leader Mullah Sangeen Zadran and POW Bowe Bergdahl. Bergdahl
is seen with a significant wound on his left cheek. The link to the video

Why is POW Bowe Bergdahl not home? I know that the official policy is not
to negotiate with terrorists. Lately our government traded Russian spies
for American spies. We even negotiated with Iran for a hiker. We do
negotiate with terrorists. It just depends on what we want to negotiate
for.
If the president's child or the child of any prominent political or high
profile person were held captive, we certainly would do everything to get
them free. I want the same value placed on POW Bowe Bergdahl and all
efforts made to bring him home alive, even if we trade Taliban prisoners
for him. We do not want to see another American POW left behind.
Would you please bring his case before Congress? We need to focus
attention
on a live American POW (POW Bowe Bergdahl) before it is too late.
Sincerely,
(Your Name)
